Anyway, here's a booklet for all the various things you can do to solve problems in this game.
Read it through and vote on the one best thing to pick up. When do you learn more of those? When I say so.
Rogue:
-Distract. > Misdirect. : Causes enemies to briefly lose their concentration to investigate/Causes enemies to leave their posts to go and investigate.
>Allows you to use your wits, items or ambient props to cause a misdirection in the target area, prompting your enemies to investigate it briefly.
>Advanced level is far more convincing, causing the enemy to leave their static location or even drag others with them to investigate.
-Pickpocket. > Steal : Steal light things like gold, jewelry or writs/Steal potentially any item, however at risk.
>You can steal light things from enemies, things that could easily fit in your pocket, like gold, jewelry or papers.
>Advanced level allows you to steal enemy weapons, clothing, anything really, but not without the danger of getting caught.
-Sneak. > Vanish. : Sneak past the unattentive/Vanish from sight of the unattentive.
>You are able to sneak past enemies, even if in plain sight. Some enemies are perceptive and will require some ambient support.
>Advanced level allows you to sneak even if spotted. Perceptive enemies may not be fooled.
-Haggle. > Bargain. : Obtain better deals/Obtain the best deals.
>It becomes possible to gain more out of any deal done, be it a merchant or devil.
>Advanced level lets your silver tongue get even better deals.
-Backstab. > Assassinate. : Strike the unattentive for massive damage/Attempt to outright kill the unattentive.
>Stab enemies not aware of your presence to gravely wound them.
>Advanced level turns every backstab into a silent killing move. Powerful enemies may not die outright. You should still dispose of bodies...
-Climb. > Cling. : Scale vertical surfaces/Scale any surface or ceiling.
>You can scale walls, climb the parapet, etc.
>Advanced level grants you a spider's touch, letting you cling to and walk any surface.
-Bluff. > Convince. : Fool the feeble minded/Convince the foolish of any untruth.
>Convinces people of whatever you say, provided its not stretching their suspense of disbelief too much.
>Advanced level makes your speech vivid and convincing. Almost everyone falls for your lies, regardless of circumstances.
-Run. > Sprint. : Swiftly flee/Run like the wind, past any obstacle.
>Outrun your enemies or chase, moving swiftly forward, unless something blocks your way.
>Advanced level running is even faster and allows you to push lesser obstacles aside as you run.
-Dodge. > Evade. : Deftly dodge attacks/Evade all and any physical treath.
>Allows you to dodge any melee attack while active. Of course, this requires all your concentration, thus you cannot dodge and attack at the same time.
>Advanced level lets you dodge ANYTHING. Arrows, spells, just duck and dodge! (Note: May not always avoid arrows and spells.)
-Unlock. > Disarm. : Unlock doors/Master any mechanism.
>Plain and simple, allows you to unlock doors and containers, or maybe other sorts of locks, as long as they are not too terribly complex.
>Advanced level lets you unlock any door, disarm any trap or master any mechanism you come across.
-Destroy. > Annihilate. : You can use elemental spells to combat single targets/You can bring forth devastating spells.
>Hurl magical spells at an enemy to hurt them from distance. This is a very direct approach to problems.
>Advanced level empowers your spells to cause destruction, wrecking obstacles and groups of enemies.
-Manipulate. > Control. : You can manipulate small objects/You can animate objects to move on their own accord.
>You can manipulate some objects from the distance. Pull levers, pick up small weapons or papers.
>With advanced level you can cause objects to move on their own, using rudimentary sort of intelligence.
-Restore. > Heal. : You can repair unliving things/You can repair living things.
>You can repair weapons, armor, any simple object really.
>Advanced level allows you to restore far more complex things, like say, living organisms. Effectively, you can heal yourself and others.
-Change. > Warp. : You can shift the properties of unliving objects/You can polymorph unliving objects.
>You can distort the properties of unliving objects, making them smaller, bigger, hotter, colder, spikier, curly etc etc.
>Advanced level lets you perform a complete conversion of unliving objects into other objects of your wishing.
-Identify. > Fashion. : You instantly gain the knowledge of the rare and mystique/You can utilize or even copy any device.
>You can instantly identify any object and its use.
>Advanced level lets you use or duplicate any item you find, provided you have the materials.
-Summon. > Abjure. : You can summon various familiars/You can banish those not native to your plane.
>You can summon lesser demons or spirits to assist you.
>Advanced level gives you the ability to banish summoned creatures back to their origin.
-Protect. > Ward. : Allows you to block enemy spells/Allows yout to completelly nullify enemy sorcery.
>You can attempt to block any sort of magical assault against you.
>Advanced level allows you to undo any sorcery on yourself or anything in your vicinity.
-Predict. > Scry. : You can sense the presence of enemies at distance/You can see far away, through walls and illusions.
>You are warned of incoming enemies or enemies encountered before you actually see them.
>Advanced levels allows you to scry your surroundings, getting an exact mental map of everything discovered.
-Enchant. > Fascinate. : You can mentally immobilize enemies/You can can control your enemies, to an extent.
>You are able to visually fascinate your enemies with some pretty pyrotechnics.
>Advanced level gives you a direct control of your enemies, however, the more you go against their nature, the sooner they break free.
-Terrify. > Horrify. : Your dark powers scatter the cowards and stay the weapons of the rest/Your dark powers can command the undead.
>You gain terrible dark powers, allowing you to scare off some enemies. Those who do not flee are still too scared to attack. The effect wears off with time.
>Advanced level imbues you with the ability to command the undead forces of darkness. Some powerful undead will not be affected.
-Intimidate/Command. : You can subdue the weak/You can convince even equals to follow you.
>You can order the weaker foes or NPCs what to do, they will however not follow you to the death.
>You can get loyalty even from those that don't like you, or those who would otherwise not want to risk themselves with the advanced level.
-Duel/Parry. : You can hold your own with a weapon/You can fight the odds themselves.
>Allows you to effectively parry and counterattack in a one on one fight.
>You can fend off multiple enemies at once with the advanced level.
-Toss/Hurl. : You can toss heavy things for quite a distance/You can catapult large objects at enormous distances.
>You are able to toss moderately small objects rather far, stones, weapons, etc.
>With the advanced level you can hurl things with herculean strength. Boulders, refrigerators, you name it.
-Block/Bash. : You can use a shield to fully block attacks and projectiles/You can use your shield as a weapon.
>Allows you to turtle behind the shield to block melee or ranged attacks.
>Advanced level lets you swat enemies aside with the shield to great effect.
-Endure/Survive. : You can survive grave injuries/You have superhuman tolerance for even mortal wounds.
>You can survive wounds that would fell a basic mook, sword to the chest, severe blunt trauma, magic bolt to the face, etc.
>Advanced level gives you heroic resolve to live. Even most terminal injuries won't kill you outright. Still, you might wanna bandage those and don't expect this to protect you from being decapitated or somesuch.
-Smith/Craft. : You can create basic tools and weapons/You are able to create artifacts.
>Basic level allows you to create simple tools, anything within the boundary of reason and basic cost.
>Advanced level gives you the ability to create powerful artifacts. They will however require certain materials, locastions or quests.
-Drag/Carry. : You can carry twice as much stuff around/There is no limit as to how much you can carry.
>Basic level doubles your inventory capacity.
>Advanced level allows you to carry anything in any amount of quantity. ...please don't abuse this. You will not carry that mountain no matter how hard you try to.
-Rage/Berserk. : You can ignore pain and strike ferociously/You can bypass reason itself.
>Basic level allows you to enter a state of greatly increased strength and greatly decreased reasoning.
>Advanced level lashes out against logic itself. Basically, you can do things going by the Rule of Cool.
-Honor/Knight. : Improves your fame/Makes you highly renown.
>Basic level improves the reaction of people to you.
>Adbanced level makes you known throughout the land, even in the royal court itself.
-Taunt/Enrage. : Forces others to engage you/Drives enemies into blind rage.
>Basic level allows you to force enemies to engage you, going to great lengths towards that goal.
>Advanced level severely distresses the enemies, their rage is great, but their focus becomes narrow and easy to exploit.
