Moltoven took over Steven briefly. "Perhaps you'd like to stop the rest of the town escaping?"

Chebraghol didn't have so much fun in quite some time, it felt hard to go back from slaughter. ...come to think of it, he sould have posted some skeletons on the entrance of the cave for exactly such a scenario.

"Not on these tiny legs they won't." He leapt out of the building to harvest the survivors, rope in hand. The undead could restrain anything left alive in the temple itself.

As Chebraghol left the temple, the walls began shaking. The tunnel started to collapse, and the massive stone panel fell forward with a crash. The priest, apparently still barely alive, let out a slight laugh, coughing up blood. A black shape exploded from the tunnel, which collapsed instantly behind it. As it traveled across the room in an instant, skeletons, bodies, and chairs were sent flying.

It solidified into a solid mass, rising upwards. Massive and furious, the demon before them stood eight meters tall, its claws alone were a meter long.

Ophelia just thought that the bandits were stupid. Were they trying to kill themselves?
Nonetheless, she readied her knife (stab if at close range), attempted to dodge everything they threw and/or shot at her, and chanted some times for series of fireballs (OOC: NOT Flamethrower), directed at the one that was injured.

"So you took a wind blast to your gut and didn't stop...
Let's see how you take a fireball to the face!"

This thing looked trouble. Chebraghol did not know exactly what to do. A strike with an axe would be merely a paper cut to this thing. He paced around in a defensive stance, waiting for it to act.

The bandit that Csiphe had targetted never stood a chance. The lightning-mage rushed through the unfortunate ruffian, killing him on the spot. However, death did not rob the man of his momentum, and his writhing corpse crashed heavily into his killer, hurling them both to the ground.

The second bandit held out well through sheer blind luck, but was eventually brought to a flying halt with a fireball to the back.

As the sounds of combat died away, one of the hostages dared a glance upwards. Seeing their captors defeated, he elbowed the man next to him, who passed the message on to the third man. They started to climb to their feet.

The Sentinel was not nearly as ready to wait as Chebraghol. It grabbed a nearby skeleton and tossed it at the beast. The skeleton shattered on impact, bones scattering across the temple, but the demon merely stumbled backwards from the strike.

Chebraghol looked at the giant monster, then looked at the building foundations. He had a plan brewing together.

"Say, can you distract the beast for a minute? I think I have a plan."

The Sentinel grabbed a nearby pew, lifting it and tossing it at the demon, which swatted it out of the air. Several skeletons rushed towards the gigantic shadow, vainly striking at its feet and legs. The Sentinel kept up the assault, propelling tables, chairs, and blocks of stone at the body of the massive beast.

Yes, the giant appeared to be preoccupied, Chebraghol would make his strike, leaping across the walls, tediously breaking away at the stone.

Soon, the roof was showing signs of intense stress. Morsel and stone broke off and fell as cracks signaled that the temple was about to collapse onto itself.
