(Its in quotes so its easy to see whats a new question and whats old)
Hiya all! After lurking for about a week now, studying the fraxy editor, my curiosity overflowed and i started asking questions, but then i guess introductions are in order before i ask moreEdit:
--Question answered, problem solved, THX! Stupid me--
Finally, heres my megaboss battle plan:
The numbers depict "attack areas", simply put, youve got to destroy a total of 5 cores, each core controls a portion of the ship, each number represents one chapter of the bossfight (1 and 4 are "area" fights, youre not actually shooting anything, but you need to navigate a veritable maze of bullets to reach the next core.
The areas are:
1, Laser chaff attack! 2, The beam cage. 3, The Ion cage. 4 Laser chaff attack 2! Son of Chaff attack! 5, Wrecker. 6 Drone attack. 7 The final core.
Im an art student from iceland with an avid interest in gaming and creating of all sorts. Tho Im no expert drawer yet, I can be included in the lineup of Icelands best figure painters out here!
I became interested in Fraxy when i first noticed a vid on youtube, an incredible boss named "Mara" performing all sorts of stunts and moves to dazzle the eye, even though my friends arent the type to play a game like this they were still impressed by the awesome vid.
Imagine the look on my face when i found out that it was player made, and that i could (semi)-easily start making my own bosses!
Im no programmer, and altough im quite experienced in making stuff in game editors (i made a lot of stuff in Neverwinter Nights 1, tho i never released it to but a couble o friends, and theres lots of other games). But whatever the game, ive never found an editor so awesome as this one, sure i can't design NPC conversations, but I can make a super awesome death dealing glory-defining bosses!
This here Fraxy editor is one of the best ive seen, but if there was anything i felt was missing then it really lacks 2 things
A) A "try editor mode", so you can set up and manage a try much like you would set up and manage a boss.
B) a "pixel importer" a feature that would let you use existing parts/effects as a base for a new part/effect.
I can go without the pixel importer, but the try thing really jumbles my marbles! So i need to ask some peeps for help on how to make Try's. I wanna start making themed scenarios with drones and low-mid-hig bosses right away! And at the end, a huge megaboss!
In any case, i hope you guys are happy with my lil self presentation!
