Over time, life returns. First the trees, then the rest. Though life will adapt to any environment, the shifting nature of the region means that one cannot be prepared for everything.

The Twilight is not kind to the careless.

Deep in the shadows, a creature is running. It is small, very small, dwarfed even by a human child. If it has a name, it does not know it. If it has family, it has not met them. What it does know is that it is not safe. Though it dare not look, it can hear them. Leaves, twigs and earth cracking under the steps of a great beast, or perhaps several. Whether it is gaining or losing, the creature does not know, but it does know where to go.

Scrambling up a nearby branch, it climbs. It climbs and climbs until it has reached the top of the clouds. Still it hears cracking and snapping from below; the hunt is not over yet. Below the creature is a sea, though not of water, but of tree and shade.

But every ocean has its islands. From its lookout, the creature spies its destination. Not far away, a gap in the trees, the shadow, all of it. It leaps from the tree, grabbing the topmost branch of the next. A piece snaps and falls to the ground. The noise below picked up into a fervor.

It leaps. And as it does, the tree falls away. But it is not over yet. Soon all the trees were shaking. But the light was close. Bounding from branch to branch, the creature grew more and more anxious. It would not die here. Not so close. It was certain. It leaped again, grabbing a branch, but a sudden jolt knocked it free, and soon it was tumbling down to the ground below. It hit the ground with a dull thud. It was small, and the ground was soft; there was no injury. Yet. But it heard the growls. It was surrounded. It had perhaps a few moments while they fought over who would get to eat first. It closed its eye, trembling in fear.

Suddenly, it felt... warm? The growling stopped, replaced by whimpers and scrambled stomps in all directions. It opened its eye and looked around. The area had lit up. A strange glowing orb drifted through the air lazily above it.

It had been lucky today. It would need to be more careful tomorrow.

Equinox surveyed the Twilight. It was impressive, yes. Yes...

But something was missing.

The machines started creating tools and basic armor: after all, they were exposed, and could be killed with a good blow. They eventually came up with three types of armor: wooden, which didn't do too much, but didn't have anything too bad, and was cheap, Mudblock, which was rather thick and could kinda protect well, but was rather thick, but not too expensive, but a higher cost than wood, and the third type was stone, which was slightly better that the other armors in their categorys, but was more expensive, since stone is hard to change.

Eventually, they discovered how to create "vehicles". The first more advanced one was the vir: it was some dirt that was on top of some wood, with some water underneath and a wooden perimiter. This came about after Tynerac had a pot of water, and when he pushed down, he noticed some water came out the top. Therefore, he concluded that the water had some sort of set amount, and to confirm this, he ordered the creation of this. When it would rain, the mud would be wet, and push down on the wood, thus having the perimiter go up, since he supposed that the force of the mud and the wood would be greater than just wood.

When it rained, he noticed that the dirt was soaking up the water, and indeed, turning into mud, with the perimiter rising. He eventually decided that it would be of note.

The most important thing to note, however, is that there was the creation of basic ships: Effectively rafts with a barrier to keep the water out, these allowed basic propulsion through oars, and so forth.

And yet, they had trouble with avoiding bumping into one-another. They waited for the day when they too can become like Tynerac...

On the alien continent: as the strange humanoid utters greeting, many Kyb who were making their escape halt, some returning and some simply observing from their position.

Clere however approaches the figure boldly. A demonstration of power is not a demonstration of violence, and he is able to supress the urge to flee. He had prepared for this confrontation, and was surprised that the man spoke the same language as Sigma, and hence all Kyb.

A metallic hand is extended in greeting, Clere's helmet-like head morphing slightly, a grin manifesting upon it.

"Greetings. It is very calming to find greater life elsewhere in the world." He waits for a moment, pondering again what the best action would be.

"We are Kyb, of Sigma. I am Clere, the current leader, below Sigma, of course...who would you be? I hope it is alright for me to inquire if there are more than your kind. Are you the maker of this place, or do you, as well, have a master?"

It had been several months since she came to, and things had ever so slowly changed. The small snow puffs that she had accidentally made had grown large, some far larger than her. The males were towering humanoids with massive muscled bodies and ice that seemed to mold to their form like armor. It often surprised her to look up upon her sons, as some grew as tall as thirty feet, easily dwarfing their mother who stood at only ten feet. Hrungnir would often ferry her about the land upon his massive shoulders should she actually need to inspect the growing city.

The females usually didn't end up that tall, and took after her in looks with lean and athletic bodies. Though their limbs were made of ice much like her own, they came in a dazzling amount of colors, from the normal clear they would all start with upon birth that would change upon their ascension to adults. But even they made her feel tiny with the tallest of her daughters, Grid, standing at 25 feet.

The Giants had come a long way under her gentle guidance. They learned of the world, of languages, of food, of survival in the harsh climate they lived in. They became innovators, breaking through the ice to create tools and homes. They dealt with death, with their brothers and sisters eventually fading away from age and accident. But none of this compared to the respect and love they showed her, their mother, their goddess. It honestly got a bit out of hand at times, such as now.

"Mother! I'm telling you that I would be the very best champion for you! None of the others can compare to my might!" Hrungnir's voice boomed far above her from the top of the temple they had built to her. His rival and brother Loki bristled at his slight to him and the others.

"Your head is full of ice! Strength alone does not defend a city! A sound mind and magicks most powerful would be the best thing for a champion to have!" He shouted in return, shaking the tower and causing a bit of a stir from the children below. The temple was far too lavish for her tastes, standing at two stories (Or fifteen to her) and filled with many of the children her children had given birth to.

The problem before her though was to choose a champion to defend their city. Skadi knew she wasn't the only one of her kind, and not all would be as kind or understanding as her, so someone strong and of a great mind would be needed to lead a defensive force. But how this selection process devolved into two of her oldest sons squabbling like younglings, she would never quite understand.

The two giants suddenly quieted when Skadi stood from her seated position, now cloaked in a snowy robe that flared with her power. "My children, please. There isn't a need to argue here. If anything, I want both of you to act as champions in the defense of your brothers and sisters. Loki with his mind and magics and you with your strength and talent you can easily deal with any problem you come across. Such as the frost wyrms that you put down that were hunting the young."

The two giants looked to each other with respect at remembering the event that had plagued their lives not too long ago, of the wyrms that made their homes in the glaciers. The two had been critical to getting the children who had been playing on the outer reaches of the tundra to safety and fought off the lizards that would have eaten them.

"Very well Mother, we will work together in your name to defend our brethren as we have in the past." Loki gave his oath, as Hrungnir followed up.

Actions performed:
Evolve (2): The Jotunn have moved on from their initial forms to something much greater. Now humanoid and with access to magicks most powerful, the great giants of the tundra have become ever more powerful and intelligent.
Create Life (Group) (4): The Frost Wryms are the main source of meat for the Jotunn, and one of the few predators that the giants have to look out for. Able to grow just as large as the tallest Jotunn, these large lizards are tough and able to deal and take just as much damage as their prey.

"A moment of privacy please." Clere responds, signalling the Kyb to gather around him. He engages a telepathic link between them all. Dozens of minutes pass, before they all turn towards the strange man, smiles on their faces, Clere's even more radiant than before.

"Human, we are exploring the world. I offer you to join us." Clere says with a truly pure and caring tone.

Buster Zayin decided to do one more thing in preparation.

Inaugurate Hero - 3 Numen. The Buster Zayin approaches the lone Machine Golem. It proceeds to bestow the name of Adir (אדיר) on the Golem, declaring it the Guardian Golem of the Terran-Celestial Forest.

Zayin orders Adir to patrol the Terran-Celestial Forest for any intruding forces, whether it be primordials or hostile invaders. The Golem proceeds to do so.

"A wonderful decision." Clere remarks.

He proceeds to introduce the human to the rest of the explorers.

Feeling more confident now, Clere lifts up a platform of land beneath the Kyb (and Human's) feet and propels it at a greater speed, heading right towards the ship.

Later that day, The crew is introduced to their new arrival, and the adventure continues further and further.

Weeks of merry journeying pass. By now the human king is fully introduced to the Kyb as a race, and they to him, as well, although his creator and purpose still remain a mystery.

One morning however, a forest-ridden land becomes visible on the horizon, and later that day, the anchor is thrown once more, with most of the crew once again embarking to explore, both Clere and the human now leading.

Intruders. Their presence was unmistakable. They stunk of... something. Power. But not any any power it had seen before. There were several beings with them, but it was the two at the front that grabbed its attention. Bipedal creatures, one some shiny material, one white but glowing with black. They exuded an aura that felt familiar, but alien.

Yes. These were suitable forms.

Create Life (5), Inaugurate Hero (3)
Create Life (5), Inaugurate Hero (3)

The Sun and Moon each rippled with energy. From each, a solid pillar extended down to the surface, carving deep into the earth.

In a single moment, the Twilight Woods were enveloped entirely in light. Then, a moment later, entirely in shadow.

The crater in which Equinox had been created was joined by two others, and in each stood a towering figure.

A flowing robe, glowing as bright as the midday sun. If the figure had a face, the glare made sure it would not be seen. In one hand it held a gigantic scepter, enveloping the forest in its shine and cutting through the choking black clouds around it.

A vile beast clad in obsidian armor, deep as the blackest night. If it had a face, no light would ever reach it. Tendrils of shadow cascade outwards across the ground, drowning wisps and blocking out the Sun.

They glanced at each other, then back towards the beings at the shore.

Buster Zayin spreads its mechanical wings, lighting them up as it flies into the sky. Pulling out its Ohr (אור) Rifle, it observes the land and forest down below. The mini-Seraphim can be heard giggling. They appear to be having fun in this world. It's... kind of cute, actually.

Somewhere inside the Buster Zayin, the angel's soul is developing, growing, and forming. When it has finished with this early development, the angel will fully form a physical body separate from its MA. It will become a full-on angel, which, while still able to operate its Machine Angel husk, will not require its usage to travel or function in the world. For now, the Buster Zayin continues to observe the world around it, and marveled at the land and beings it had created, as well as its own abilities. Truly, it was doing the Creator's work...

...huh? The Buster Zayin turns in another direction, as if sensing something. It feels as if there was a certain presence of something out there... something powerful. Potentially dangerous even. The Machine Angel does not know what it was, but it could feel the immense power emanating from it far away. The Buster Zayin decides to descend towards the ground a bit, not quite landing anywhere. It would need to keep a close eye on the surrounding territories. If said beings of immense power were to reach this forest, they could potentially destroy everything, and not even Adir would be able to stop them. The Machine Angel, despite its own power, would have to be careful with where it tread or what it faced...

Within the walled city of Jotunheim, there was a single source of water for all those that lived upon the tundra. While the Jotun didn't quite know how their goddess brought forth the precious liquid considering the frigid cold, Urd's Well continued to pour forth its bounty underneath Skadi's temple. But that wasn't why the few giants who were able to had gathered down there, no, today they gathered because their goddess had requested they do so.

Urd was nervous. Despite having been assigned to watch the well from her birth, she often found herself wondering away from it to explore the tundra outside, leaving its protection to her younger sisters Belldandy and Skuld. Despite them all still being children and thus able to move around areas with their goddess, they were powerful in their own right so few bothered them. But that Mara just had to push her buttons on today of all days! The horror and shame she felt to return to the well, only to see the scolding look of her goddess... She could have died of shame.

But then she was shocked, by her goddess' words and sudden smile. "I do not mind the fact that you went out Urd. In fact, that gave me the idea that I will be entrusting you three with this day." Her sisters stood to the goddess' side with mouths wide open at the declaration, only for all three to nod their acceptance of the task... much to the amusement of several of the adults.

A hush quickly settled over the crowd, as Skadi walked forth into the pouring waters of the well, her power wafting through the air and water as she ever so slowly submerged herself in the clear water. Suddenly, the water took on a holy glow, similar to that of the goddess herself. Images began to appear, of lands that were not their own. Greens and browns and greys, along with strange creatures unknown to them of all sorts of shapes and sizes. It was a dazzling display that was over much too quickly. Skadi herself tiredly pulled herself from the water, only for the three girls to rush to her. Ignoring the way her snowy cloak stuck to her and their own robes becoming damp, the three helped their goddess to the edge of the water with exhaustion clear on her face.

"Urd's Well will be our portal to learn of others like myself... so that when we expand beyond our lands we will know the others and in kind, they will come to know us." Her breathing labored, the goddess smile to her children before giving away to her fatigue.[/i]

Actions Taken:
Bend Laws (4): Urd's Viewing Well: Besides giving the Jotun a source of fresh water, the well itself allows those with the permission of the goddess and enough magic power to peer into other areas on the planet. It doesn't show the present or future, but past events in a general area up to a certain point.
