You know, not to be offensive or anything. But that character premise sounds like something I would have come up with 10 years ago.
When I was 10.
There is just that fowl air of mary sue following him. His entire motivation is summed up as "Goes around doing good", his reaction to being there is "not surprised".
His weapon, armor and accessories do not lend to any sort of realistic character, bur rather an author avatar. Which is good, in a sense that thats exactly what it should be, but bad, because its a
terrible example of an original character.
As such Im taken aback by you trying to redeem it by giving long-winded backstory explanation which sounds like you expect everyone to suddenly understand what you mean exactly.
I think I will just say it here, as it's something you should understand and come to accept.
Your character is not special. Your entire mythology of that character is not special.
This is true for pretty much any fictional character made by anyone. In order to impress people with your character you have to damn earn that. Having a superpowered character with super-special powers be a heroic savoir and a dashing rogue will not net any of this, because you take those feats as granted.
A true character is well-rounded, has real issues instead of any sort of furry identity crisis, any conflict that would actually be expected of a real person.
Think about it. Think hard.
