"Excellent."

The ghost led Chebraghol into the Fortress. He stood in a hallway, the walls lined with skeletons. Several zombies lay amidst the group. At the end of the room stood a figure in a dark robe. "Chebraghol. How good to see you in person. I am Moltoven Eurynome."

He gestured towards the lines of undead. "And these are my servants. And, for now, yours. You may take any ten that you wish. The Sentinel and Steven will also accompany you. You may utilize them as you wish, but remember that they are under my direct control. The rest are not. When you are ready, Steven will lead you to your target."

Eh, he expected the human to be small, being human and all, but still, was sort of disappointed at his physical appearance. It did not exactly radiate the sort of authority a master of the dead should. He did not feel scared of the small, fragile shape, he felt like he could accidentally squash it by making a wrong footstep.

Regardless, the lines of skeletons were probably balancing this out. Small, fragile skeletons... ehhhh... why couldn't all of them be like the sentinel, at least that construct wouldn't snap in two if he was to bump it lightly. And he really expects him to choose ten to his liking? They all look the same! Well, suppose some have more flesh on them than the others. Better take those to block errant arrows.

Chebraghol spent the next quarter of a hour pacing back and forth, mustering up his force of ten skeletons. He did not have much faith in them, the sentinel alone would suffice but the extra bulk could be useful. Maybe he could throw them at the enemies.

---

After the 15 minutes he was done choosing. The dead were mostly composed of those with enough meat on them, tho a few skeletons were chosen as well. Their lack of mass made them ideal scouts.

"Not much respect for the small, hm? If it's any consolation, after this endeavor I should hopefully be able to work on some more grandiose projects.

Your target is one of the larger villages in the area, Selbrum. They've been sending parties to attack me and I've grown rather tired of it. So, naturally, I'm going to kill all of them. That said..."

He turned around, walking over to a nearby shelf, grabbing a large roll of rope. He tossed it towards the demon.

"I need... hm. Let's go with ten. I need at least ten brought back alive. Adults."

Chebraghol caught the rope mid-air and towed it securely to his waist. He then asked for a map of the realm.

"Ah, a map. Of course. One moment."

He walked down the hall towards one of the many studies littering the castle. Walking past a large ritual circle, he came upon a desk filled with many maps of Zemelia and certain regions. Grabbing one of Alnkek, he marked down the location of Selbrum, before returning to the main hallway.

"Perhaps you'll understand if villages around here often change locations. I've marked down the current location of the town, and regardless, Steven will be leading you there. Feel free to kill as many as you like, which will no doubt be all of them. I'd prefer the buildings stay as intact as reasonable. Bodies destroyed by collapsed buildings are of no use to either of us."

Ophelia, knowing about being outnumbered, quickly got behind the same cover as Csiphe.
She looked at what Csiphe did, and then quickly thought of what she was going to do.
She closed her fist, put it in front of her, and chanted. The Flame Barrier was formed as soon as the chant ended, and she quickly got out of cover to start chanting for series of Wind Cutters at the rocks (or bandits if there was an opportunity for such). Said wind would hit the rocks until they broke (or the bandits for a kill), and she hoped that Csiphe's lightning would finish at least one off.

The map was insightful enough, even more so Chebraghol wondered why he hasn't got one in his hands before. It would have made matters so much easier.

The chosen road was a quick march through the elevated area. Hardly a good way to transport troops, but he had no doubts about his own stamina and the the detachment wouldn't complain as well. Once there, they would send the skeletal minions forward to estimate how well defended the village is. Maybe an attack during the night could yield a bigger element of surprise... then again, the village is in a cave. There's always night there. Their limited visibility means there's probably some sort of lookout outside.

"Keep a lookout for those." Chebraghol commanded Steven, before turning to the light skeletons. "Circle around and make sure they don't have time to give a warning."

When done, he rolled the map together and stuck it on his waist. The squad set forth.

Steven moved quickly towards the entrance to the cavern. There were two guards looking out. Shifting through the wall behind them, he looked down the tunnel. It was deserted. These two were alone.

...Yeah, they're screwed.

He went back and reported to Chebraghol.

"Got two lookouts, and no one else nearby. Shouldn't be a huge problem. The town itself might be more heavily defended, but who knows."

Chebraghol smiled and pointed the two skeletons to move out, guided by the ghost.

The two hollow carcasses proved to be exceptionally sneaky, slow, steady movement did wonders to offset the usual rattling of the bones. It took them a while to get in position, then, with a quick movement they overwhelmed the guards, pulled them to the ground and broke their necks.

The rest of the squad followed shortly after. They would come over the town like a storm, a terrible plague or punishment from the depths of hell or... or... Chebraghol could not muster up a better description. Hell, he fully forgot he was giving a speech to undead. Their rotting/hollow faces showed no sign of raised morale. In they go then.

The tunnel took several minutes to travel, but were empty and uneventful. Steven stayed ahead, on look out. When they came upon the town, it seemed mostly empty. Everyone must be inside.

A massive temple dominated the open space. A strange engraving adorning the wall above its entrance, visible even from across the cavern. A small circle, red with blood, surrounded by a larger circle with several curving, swirling lines extending outwards. A hill led down from the entrance, giving the undead and their infernal commander a perfect view of the town below.
