Despite going over your memory and examining the device further, the grey orb in your hand remains just as mysterious as when you found it. (Scan failed)

The screech of something sharp running across the metal tiles of the train depot gains your attention. The figure making it's way toward you looks to be wearing a suit exactly like your own, the only thing that is off about them, is the giant scythe they are carrying, and the massive hole in their chest which seems to be giving off a grey glow, similar to the unidentified item you obtained earlier. The being gives you a grin, before hefting the large scythe.

Focusing on your wounds, you feel a burning sensation. At first you'd attribute it to all the lava around you heating the place up, but its actually the nano-machines within the suit quickly knitting together the most serious of your wounds and breaks. (+40 HP, Nano-machines exhausted.)

The large drake closes in both of you, giving off its falsely organic roar. The magma swirls about its form, creating a large churning wall of the super heated melting rock to fly forward. The grey orb gives no indication that it has been used correctly, however you feel that it's just brimming with power somehow. Whatever it does though, it doesn't seem like you're able to use it at the moment. Valkar seemed to have waited to see what you'd do before acting himself. (Item Use failed)

Taking you pulling out the orb as the start of battle, Valkar rushes forward, the scythe blade singing as it cuts through the air. Thankfully, as you saw it coming you're able to dodge the attack, and lash out with the knife at his arm, scoring a small slash against the armor that has gone deep enough to draw a bit of blood. (-5 HP to boss)

The barrier of water, as well as the wet spots all about the room seem to become bigger and bigger, as more water is pulled from the pipes about the ceiling, drenching the room. The water level quickly grows to neck level, before going over it and approaching dangerous levels. As the water level reaches near ceiling height, the increase suddenly stops, before the dragon seemingly disappears into the murky depths. (Battlefield changed, Boss gained Special: Aquatic Foe - +1 to all rolls when underwater. Boss MP depleted, Player and Ally gained Ailment: Underwater - -1 to all rolls)

GM Notes: Battlefields only come about when things get out of hand, like above. What the battlefield will be and how it will effect you will obviously differ in every situation. Emergency Nan-machines can be used by anyone, but only once per battle, after that you're on your own. How much they heal depends on your roll.

Also, if this wasn't obvious before, those with Allies can give them suggestions. If they follow them or ignore them is up to chance though. With that being said... Snipe, I hate your luck. GM Notes End

Charging in with both the Chaser and Vibro blades in hand, the coiling mechanical body of the viper goes to cover its exposed side, unfortunately, you reach it before it can do so, plunging the chaser blade into sensitive electronics. (-20 HP to boss) Using the hold made by the chaser blade, you stab forward with the Vibro blade, passing through the plating to stab into what looks to be channeling electricity through the massive beast. Suddenly the Basic suit takes on a fiery red and orange motif, similar to Huǒ's own suit. (Learned MAGIC: Flame Wheel, Basic Suit is now Fire Suit and Fully Recovered)

Aiming laser at the wall and pulling the trigger, you are slightly surprised that it still works. However, the hole made is nowhere near large enough for you to fit through. (-1 to Laser Ammo)

(Shuǐ: 2+2=4 Vs 4-1=3 and 6-1=5)
A large shape in the water alerts you both as it's moving toward you at high speed. Flowing through the water with more elegance then a thing that ugly should have, it brings its large claws up to slash through you both, only to be stopped dead in its tracks by a barrier of ice. (No damage)

(Shuāng: 6-1=5 vs 1+2=3)
Taking advantage of the massive barrier of ice, Shuāng extends icy spikes to pierce into the dragons leathery hide, before launching it at the wall where you made the hole, causing cracks to spiderweb out from the impact. (-20 HP to boss, Water is escaping from the cracks. Turns until water is low enough to walk: 6)

The orb shines with a grayish-white light reacting to your emotions. You can feel power coursing through you. The suit you're wearing gains a grey an steel-blue motif, similar to the one Valkar is sporting. (Gained MAGIC: Metal, Learned Iron Spike: Extends a metal spike from a surface. Basic Suit is now Metal Suit)

Charging in with his scythe Valkar goes for a decapitating slash, only to find air as you duck under it. Your counter attack with the knife finds itself blocked by the spinning blade of Valker's scythe. Locking you both in a stalemate. (No Damage)
GM Notes: And finally... the moment I've been waiting for since the beginning. Two players now have access to MAGIC, which are powerful enhancements of a technomagic origin. Each comes with its own advantages and disadvantages, but later you'll find more and be able to switch between or even combine them. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. MAGIC also has a very low fail rate, since rolls for them don't go below three. GM NOTES END
