The orc seems to be in some sort of bloody rage as Waldemar swings his shortsword at it (14/d20). It parries it easily, roaring, covering him in flecks of spittle.

It therefore does not note Guinevere darting around it to peer into the broken shop for the hammer man. Unfortunately, the hammer man is nowhere in the shop, or, more accurately, the hammer man is all over the shop. The hammer is in two pieces, the head embedded in a wall, the broken shaft on the floor near a few remains.

The orc howls as it attempts to attack (18/d20). It appears to have had trouble deciding between Hector and Waldemar, and swings the cudgel in the empty air between the two. Subsequently, Hector's staff smacks it straight in the face(1/d20, 2/d6 for 3 damage), and it stumbles backwards, hitting a nearby wall.

Waldermar is quite decisive about exploiting the orc's situation once again. He goes for the head.

(Rumia requested an auto-action for this turn)

Guinevere screws up her face, turning back to the orc, moving back towards it. However, her tardiness to the fight means she was last in order.

The orc swipes the cudgel (8/d20), and it catches Waldemar (2/d3) under his off arm (3 damage sustained). Hector, however, appears to take this as an opportunity (4/d20), striking (6/d8) the killing blow to the orc. It falls, bleeding, to Waldemar's feet.

Battle won!

There are two cudgels and two orc bodies lying on the ground. There are three routes open to you, amongst other things; the T-junction behind you (one of which leads to the town square, where there may be shops still running now that the attack seems to have slowed, the other leading to the inn) and the road out of town. The remains of the hammer man are residing within a shop, whose wall has been broken; you can go in, but you might be chased out by villagers with senses of honour.

Waldemar politely rounds the people around him and suggests a path to the inn. In case the town falls, they should be as close to the exit as possible.

Those cudgels look unwieldy...

Waldemar measures the orcish weapons for a second and decides to better steer his hands off them. He then assets the bruise.

Stats:
Hector observes Waldemar, judging how severe his injury is as he rounds the people around him and seeing that it's nonfatal, he then turns his attention towards the remains of the two orcs and takes whatever may be of value on them, avoiding the others.

Approaching Waldemar while going through her bag, Guinevere pats his shoulder, presenting him with one of of Potions of Healing. "H-here, drink t-that down. We s-should keep our strength up. Personally, I-I'd like t-to head to the t-town square... I uh... need to stock up o-on supplies." She seems a bit pale, probably from seeing the remains of the hammer wielder.

(Also, did we get any XP/gold for that battle?)

"It's just a flesh wound."

Waldemar binds the linen of clothing around the wound. Should staunch it.

"Probably better to use them" Sigh "Later."
