Zax' layout seems too fragmented with several sections seemingly superfluous.

I voted for Dabir, if you make the forums too expanded, two things happen:
1) It gets confusing to navigate
2) It makes it look more inactive to new menbers

I'm changing my vote to Dabir's. I don't have the motivation to suggest a layout. I'm voting for Dabir because zax's has a lot of flaws. I've listed them here:

Admin List, Roles, and Contact Information
Who's who, what they do, and how to contact them.

Unneeded, the forums already have all these features built in. Forum roles are also clearly defined by the titles. The only misleading role is HEAD ADMIN because that is TOO GREAT a role for people to understand. Section just causes unneeded noise and sets the wrong tone.

Member Arrivals and Departures
Who's new, who's taking a break, and who's saying goodbye.

Normally I'd say sub-forums are bad and these should be merged but people only arrive once, its not as big a deal. I preferred the idea of a more general "about you" section to cover things that aren't arrivals or departures but more personal announcements.

No. This is bad. The Engine itself isn't a deep enough topic to warrant it's own section. I suspect this would get all the traffic a single thread on the subject would.

Ehhhh, its a needed section but I don't like where it is situated. It could also very easily just be a sticky in a more general Fraxy section. With a new thread/ sticky being added whenever there is an update.

Again, this isn't a section, its a thread. We have this thread even, its not even a big thread. Useless.

all these sub-forums should just be a single forum. They are too specific and overlap too much for this to be four separate sections. The tutorial section can be a sub-forum but the rest need to be merged.

Fraxy Creations

OH BOY. I'm not even going to bother trying to respond to each section separately. The only section I like is the U.I mod section, which can be merged into the music and sound section to create a general fraxy assets section.
As for the rest? oh boy. Fraxy creation threads fall into two categories, people showing off creations and people talking about them before they are done. That is really the only two sections that are needed. This is way too many sections. If maybe this place had about 50 times more people than it does now or people made something more than once a month, sure , maybe I could see the sections. The thing is, this isn't stone that you are making a layout out of. If for some reason fraxy spirals into SUPER POPULARITY, and more sections are needed. Guess what? YOU CAN JUST ADD THEM. You can change layouts. Don't plan for the distant future. Plan for now and a little into the close future.
