This is a topic for discussing the characters for the RPG-in-design. For the general system discussions, go HERE. For story discussions, go HERE. For enemy discussions, go HERE.
ALTERED REALITY, FLOOPYWOOPYHOOHAWHEY!!
You totally thought I totally deleted it, because I totally didn't lie. But it turns out I did lie, thrice-fold, like a triple facepalm combo of self-loathing. AR STILL EXISTS! And it's just as shitty as it was when I left it.
So, let's talk about characters. The general plot of the game is that in which you, the designer, take first-person control over the body of your character. This does not, however, include first-person knowledge about how the character's body function, how to use all their (Likely unexplained) powers, or any of their memories, unless that shit was actually put to paper.
But don't lie. It wasn't.
Characters that still exist will be listed below, however if you have any desire for new stats, please say so here. I would also like if everyone were to recreate their character's statistical design, since it would be a good idea to do so.

Your row can be "Front", "Middle", or "Back". This determines what kind of general weapons can be used - Front row is primary to offense, and back row is primary to ranged and magic. Middle row is a mixed-bag, but cannot get the extremes from either side.
Each of the below on the left need be determined on a scale from 1 to 99.
(Where 9 is a wicked high stat, and 1 is piss-poor.)
Ignore Balance, Agility, and Skill, as they are weapon-specific, and I'll determine that myself.
HP : Hitpoints : How much damage you can take before being knocked out/killed.
MP : Mana : How much magic you can spew from your finger tips before needing to recover.
------------------
STR: Strength : This is your base offense power stat, influencing your Attack Power. (ATP)
CON: Constitution : This is your base defense power stat, influencing your Defense. (DEF)
DEX: Dexterity : This is your base combat speed stat, influencing your speed. (SPD)
INT: Intellect : This is your base magic offense stat, influencing your magic attack power. (MAP)
WIS: Wisdom : This is your base magic defense stat, influencing your magic resistance. (RES)
------------------
BAL: Balance : This is weapon-proficiency-specific, influencing accuracy, countered by weight. (ACC)
AGL: Agility : This is weapon-proficiency-specific, influencing evasion, countered by weight. (EVA)
SKL: Skill : This is weapon-proficiency-specific, influencing critical, countered by weight. (CRT)
Weapon types are as follows: (You can ignore this, it's for my own reference)
Death
Poison
Blindness
Silence
Confusion
Paralysis
Time
Debilitation
Your signature weapon is one that your character will be recruited with (Unless you say otherwise), and is one that cannot be sold. It will automatically grow in strength as your character does.
As with 'stats' for your character, you can determine stats on your signature weapon as well, on a scale from 1 to 9.
(Where 9 is a massive boost to that stat, and 1 is a hindering reduction.)
(RES)
As I've said above, I kindly ask old submitters to re-do their characters under the new things. Any additional information you want to add, such as special skills and spells and whatever, I encourage doing so.
Note that the more overpowered your character/weapon, the harder he/she and it will be to level up...

Character Name: "Mint"
Gender: male
Row: front
Physical Description:
Height: 6'5"
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Physical Build: Humanoid. Tall n' Skinny. Long arms, long legs. Short torso. Looks almost malnourished.
Clothing: Formal party clothing, so full tuxedo. Black as night. Sharp as a lawnmower blade.
Wears a white mask with long vertical teal colored eye-slits. The mask has a very flat expressionless teal line, representing a mouth.
Weapon Proficiency:
1st: Shields
2nd: Shields
3rd: Shields
Signature Weapon: "Phresh Shield"
Weapon Stats:
STR: 2
CON: 7
DEX: 2
INT: 1
WIS: 7
Close quarters proficiency: When fighting unarmed, takes on the weapon stats of whichever opponent attacks her/is attacked by her. CANNOT PERSONALLY USE PUNCHING WEAPONS OR SHIELDS, but they are still affected by this ability (in the case of shields, any shield bashing type attacks). Can use handguns/small arms (in case gun use was prohibited by the front row status). As a result, is proficient with all weapons except shields and punching weapons.
Fast Learner: Any experience Charlotte gains if there are two or more allies alive is doubled.
Command and Control: Charlotte's allies all gain 50% of their DEX and their INT as a bonus.
Charlotte's abilities are basically negation and counter moves. If you allow active abilities to be used, I've got a few ideas, but feel free to totally ignore them and use your own.
Counterattack: If attacked physically, negates battle damage and allows Charlotte to attack this foe. She may still attack this turn if she has not already attacked this turn. This requires no MP. This does not count as an instant death condition, even if it kills the target.
One Good Turn: If Charlotte delivers a killing blow to any enemy, she may deal damage equal to (50% of the killed enemy's HP + her own HP) to another foe immediately. This ability can be used more than once per turn, and if an enemy is killed while using this ability, it may be activated again. This requires no MP. This does affect enemies strong against Death.
Adaptable Absorption Armour: Reduces any damage from any magical attack or ranged attack to 0 this turn. Gains HP and MP equal to the reduced amount.
Counter Execution: If attacked physically, negates battle damage and kills this foe. She may still attack this turn if she has not already attacked this turn. This requires no MP. If the opponent that attacks Charlotte is resistant to death, Counterattack is used instead automatically.
Deserves Another: If Charlotte delivers a killing blow to any enemy, she may kill another foe immediately. This ability can be used more than once per turn, and if an enemy is killed while using this ability, it may be activated again. This requires no MP. This does not affect enemies strong against Death. This ability can be used in conjunction with Counterattack and Counter Execution.
OsO4.4(H2SO4): Any and all weapons used by Charlotte gains 200% of its usual stats. This does not include weight.
Perception Shift: Does not attack this turn, cannot be attacked this turn. Next turn's attack gets a 200% bonus to damage.
Mirage: Attacks all enemies at once. Can be used in conjunction with any other abilities. This can only be used once per battle. If there is only one enemy remaining, Charlotte attacks this one enemy (no. of allies alive) times. If this ability is used, Perception Shift may be used without loss of MP for the remainder of the battle.

Reaction: So let's see... What would my reaction be if I were to be suddenly be thrown into the body of the Destinal Lord of Fateless Events? When I first wake up, I'll probably go "Where the hell am I?!" and start rushing around the place. By doing so, I will suddenly realize that I'm not in a human body and then flip out for a couple of seconds, before calming down and thinking of what just happened. Then I'll start wandering with no real destination in mind.
Since I'm always very into magic and all that fantasy stuff, I will probably very fond of this body, although I don't really care whether I get to keep it or not, and therefore, I don't really care whether I leave or stay in this world. The way I see it is this: enjoy the very existence of magic and whatever powers I have while I still can, and when it's all over, then well, it's fun while it lasted and if I didn't enjoy it enough then I obviously wasn't spending my time right.
I usually avoid getting myself included into incidents or conflicts that doesn't concern me, either by being only an observer of the event or completely ignoring it outright.
Interaction with the Party: I usually prefer to be alone most of the time, although I don't mind joining the party either if I ever confront the party. I don't and won't care whether we stay or get back into the real world-it doesn't concern me much.
While I'm in the party though, I probably won't talk much, and will almost never speak with anyone in the party unless someone directly speaks to me or try to bring me into a conversation. Despite not being in the conversation, I'll still listen. If I'm brought into a conversation that I'm very interested in, then I'll become extremely talkative for that current topic.
Description of Arsigil: A humanoid shape of what seems to be dark blue and black flames in a more solified state (but not really flames), with white eyes.

Rift: Cuts open a rip in the universe. Attacks all enemies with physical damage, with a chance to inflict Erasure/perma-death (in otherwords, prevents revival).
Void Carver: Physical damage, ignore defense, removes buffs/positive status effects.

Double Slice - 2 attacks are better than one. (Attacks an enemy twice.)
Thunder Rush - Rushes to an enemy and slices them 4 times with the power of Thunder. (4 Thunder attacks)
Dark Blade - Imbues blade with the Dark element.
Poison Blade - Imbues blade with Poison, causing normal attacks to poison enemies.
Dual Crusher - Attacks twice. First attack deals double damage, second deals half damage, but stuns.
Undivine Wrath - Thunder/Dark element Magic attack that causes Blind.
Mark of Thunder - Attack that causes target to have a Thunder Mark. If someone unleashes a Thunder attack on the enemy marked, the mark is consumed, causing that attack to deal double damage.
Mark of Darkness - Same deal as Mark of Thunder, only with Darkness.
True Form of the Paladin - Slices once and bashes with shield, first hit is (Level) True Damage (it damages equal to Mika's Level) and the second hit deals a quarter of that damage, but has a high chance (80%) of stun. (Should have cooldown)
X Slicer - Slice that causes Blind on 2 enemies.
Y Slicer - Slice that causes Poison on 2 enemies.
Z Slicer - Slice that causes Poison AND Blind on 1 enemy.
(Most powerful skill, should have a cooldown) XYZ - Slices 6 times on an enemy. First slice is normal. Second is of the Thunder element. Third is of the Darkness Element. Fourth Blinds. Fifth Paralyzes. Sixth deals 4 times the normal damage. This attack consumes both Marks (Thunder and Darkness) and triggers an explosion of the element of the Mark on all enemies when either Mark is consumed with this skill. (Have fun coding it all. )
Justice for All - Every 3 turns (a turn counter should appear for reference), Mika removes one status ailment from herself and from her enemy. If no enemy has a status ailment or Mika doesn't have one, Mika is healed for 5% of her HP instead.
Chaotic Misfire - Enemies that attack Mika have a chance to miss and instead attack an enemy.
She's definately 13 from her appearence. She's not yet very "developed", and you have to wonder how she even holds long swords and swing them with ease. She wears a yellow shirt and black pants. Her hair is black and she's tanned. She's the Cute Bruiser of this game, I can say.
As for her personality, she's clever and kind. She also has this crazy strength. She is very nervous (Will cry if she's nervous, so she'll cry A LOT) and cowardly, though. (Why is she a coward when she can cut or punch anything apart?!)
"Really. I had to be turned into the female me. REALLY. Well, at least I get to use real swords and magic."
It's basically the "Why was I turned into X" Reaction, eventually getting (sort of) used to it. Bonus points because I get used to it faster due to being a female version of myself, I'm not kidding.
Mika Centurial Goli Yart Fargon was born in a castle with her older sister (should be a character she fights, by the way). She was a part of royalty and was going to be a princess. However, knowing this, her older sister gave her to a wizard, who was surprised to see that even in royalty there are many conflicts.
The wizard raised her kindly, giving her food, love and care. Mika ended up running from the wizard when he was killed by corrupt guards. She couldn't bear the guilt of leaving him there, so she trained in swordmanship and magic and set off on a quest to avenge the wizard and take the place of princess from her older sister.
EDIT2: I'm gonna make Zarro so mad now, because I had to edit stuff. Sorry man
EDIT3: Added True Form of the Paladin as a skill and PASSIVE SKILLS.

I like how some already started posting skills without asking first how many each character should have, if they have cooldowns, how is the mana/sp system, etc.
So I guess here goes this:
- Ammount of skills / spells per character?
- Assuming skills and spells are different; do skills scale off physical damage / strength / weapon proficency or a combination of those and spells scale off magical damage / intelligence / wisdom or a combination of those? Do they use the same resource to be executed?
- What is the max ammount of HP / MP / SP available to the player, in case someone wants to give flat values to their skills?
- Should the characters be given a 'role' in their profile?
- In case of buffs / debuffs, is there a limit on the ammount a player can give / receive / be affected at once? I assume this will be balanced later, but I'm more concerned about engine limits.
- Is there a 'max points' to spend in character stats?
- No Burn / Freeze / Sleep / Curse / Doom status?
