IIRC, 4box said in the shoutbox that it was intentional.
Yep. The boss itself is meant to be a midpoint between orbit and re-entry; thus the upside-down fight gives a feeling of descending.
(And yes, continuity poses problems, especially for Quickboss.)

As for the misaligned aim, I take it it's the one with the bullet-lasers, right? If so, yeah that's a problem with combined panel-aim pair parts and panel-rolling system. Odd, I must say; usually pair-part aiming is exact.

And for the comment about damage, yeah that was fun. Should really apply that more; it's just a nasty parts-waster though.

Good luck to everyone!
I know just who will be in top 3 though

Xeilumardrox wrote:BigUgly - This boss is a pretty good boss - a good physical design, difficulty stays relatively even for all its attacks, etc. As a TRY, it comes with also player weapons to help in fighting this boss. I'd suggest lower the HP a bit and giving a notable warning for the laser in the third phase/attack though, but that's mostly balance issues so I'll disregard it (see NOTE from above).
Yeah, that last part with the laser; I wanted it to be different, but I was running out of time and I couldn't think of anything at that moment. Plus responsibilities on the last day meant no fraxying. The bullets were ok. but I didn't like the Ions and the laser was suppose to aim and warn (via charging).

Also, the player bullet was part of the boss because I wasn't sure of how you all would feel about multiple fed files when it's called quickboss. It didn't take up much space anyway so it wasn't crucial to separate it.

I'll make a note of the Hp, and maybe re-release the boss with a different final pattern (or more).
Thanks for the Review!

As I predicted the 2nd phase is the issue.

The idea of the boss traveling around the play area was a good idea on paper; though I sorta forgot how was I to execute it in the first place. It was only late into making it I realize that the boss going around the plat area is just part of some attacks and not a whole phase of it.

I was thinking reducing the amount of HP the 2nd phase had but never got to do it since time constraint(until flan decided to extended schedules).

I think he meant that the fact that it can be no-deathed, with or without tools, means it's possible. The high difficulty isn't the issue regardless, it's the balancing issues within that difficulty.

Flan. I think we argued enough about that.

My universal response to that, as always: Then do so without hourglass.

My boss can be perfected too.

The fan of knives ARE dodgable. Just move to the side when a shockwave(?) effector goes off.
