Well, time to wrap this up!

Here's my top list:

#1 - Haku's design:

It is easily the most detailed and polished of the designs in the thread. I did wish for a more unique design, that hinted at interesting functionality. To me it looks more like what Haku's always been designing, just prettier. For one it can be seen as lack of development - or as good uniformity. Personally, I view it as a minus, however it's still the best eye-candy for what it's worth and no other contestant(With possible exception of DrT) really has a more unique entry anyway.

#2 - Garo's design:

This one really intrigues me. It has some unorthodox parts incorporated, the asymetrical part looks like it might rotate and in general, the design looks like it has more beneath the skin depth. However, something just feels off about it to me. Some parts don't feel like blend well with the boss and give it a kinda flawed image. It doesn't have the kind of depth Haku's boss displays, however it's still a solid Nr.2.

#3 - DrT's design:

Well, it certainly is hilarious. I like the breath of fresh air it brings, I certainly don't recall any top-down UFO's done in Fraxy before. Still, all the wing parts kind of let it down. It doesn't try to blend or shape it in a way that would make it visually appealing and that kind of lets it down. Props for trying tho.

#4 - BH's design:

It's decent. I like the aesthetic of the wings, actually. Still, it doesn't really live up to the polish of Haku's design, intrigue of Garo's design or the raw visual novelty of DrT's design.

I was thinking about making something for this, but I never got around to doing it. Oh well.

Oh wow, I forgot about this thing. I didn't think it would actually get judged. (no offense)

DrT went for the "I'm going to be clever and make a twist" style of entry, which is one I respect as it's so very often what I strive to do, and it is of course very amusing, but the overall build is quite lacking. The ship itself uses very few different types of parts (being largely Wing 02, Plate 14, a couple of decoration parts) meaning that the actual design doesn't really impress once the impact of the joke wears off.

Garo's design is very good with a lot of nice details, particularly the ring-like part that makes up the back of the ship. It has some parts that look a bit off (sonic waves I'm looking at you), and sort of emanates an aura of "this is a fraxy spaceship design" with the general design space that is often used, but I feel like this would be a fantastic design for a boss and I'd love to see it get used.

Now, Haku has a similarly "standard" fraxy spaceship design with all the tropes that entails, but it's fantastically put together. My only real problem with this design is the use of shadow parts. I feel like it would be much better if most of the parts that are currently shadowed were just set to normal, as it current makes certain parts stick out, which is a shame because they would integrate perfectly otherwise. Part choices and arrangement are fantastic, with everything fitting into place perfectly and resulting in a sleek design. The only change I would make is integrating the boosters in the back better, either but just pulling them closer in or smoothing them in with supplementary parts.

With that said, while Garo offers a very good design, I feel the need to pick Haku as my winner.

Guess Haku wins then, Garo second, Dr T third and White Glint a respectable fourth. Competition over, have a nice day.
