Well, it has officially been a year since I've started Fraxy boss creating. I give to you this as a tribute to my anniversary of July 25. I am also surprised on how much I have gotten done (especially those of great quality) in this amount of time. Oh the memories.

Well, to celebrate my first year of Fraxy creating, I give to you this special anniversary boss, also happening to be my first Try-based boss.

Combat Drone 3743X-473

This boss as you can see, mimicks some of the powers from some of my older bosses, those ones being Shining Core, Metarex Capcarion, Neuroi-Chan X-11, and The Chipper Fox (Ran Yakumo). Each phase uses some of thier powers, and also displays a flashing image of that one in its center. I used try editing to also display a message as to which one it is imitating, and to change the bullet color for it too. Also it has a secret form for beating it under 5 lives, where it malfunctions and starts combining attacks from those bosses together into more lethal moves. It might remind you of things such as this MUGEN Character Ozma, The Robot Master Archive in Megaman 10, the Bridge in one Megaman GB game, or maybe other things of that sort, but with my bosses being the ones mimicked. Man, I had so much great feelings of nostalgia when fighting this boss, and I love it. One of my better creations too, don't you agree?
Well it's been a good year, and I hope the next year goes well too, if not better. Until then, stay tuned fellow Fraxians.

Man, I hate to triple post, but my next boss is out. I wish some of you would post here so I would have to keep multi-posting. This is my first one for the next year, and it also is my entry to Shoot the Core Redux 2.

Horda Gestorada

For those of you who don't know, this is the True Last Boss of Raiden IV. I wanted to make this boss very badly, for it does fit well into the Shoot the Core theme (look at some of the things you need to do to defeat it), kinda like Zarro's Z-Infinity is, and is a boss I really liked the original of. I think this is one of my harder bosses, for it is not only a fan of tons of blasting, but also shoots them extremely fast. I'm not so sure if I can classify this as the hardest Fraxy boss I've made, but it certainly is a hassle. If you've seen how the original fights, you would agree that I made it spot-on. I also added a simple Player weapon based on the Raiden Vulcan weapon. It used 501 parts, but surprisingly didn't lag so much for me. Well, I hope you like this, and I hope it wins Shoot the Core Redux 2.

EDIT: I also made a small miniboss for my battle with Alnylthyria. It is called "Block Satellite" and it only uses 15 parts, but has 5 different attacks and moves in fixed screen too. I feel this one came out better than Radiation Drone. Don't have time to make a video though, but here's my entry.

Got another boss finished, this one I made for the High-Speed Chase contest.

Sky Leopard 42K Merc UAV

Yet once again I made a Strike-Witches based boss as I enjoy doing, but unlike my others, this one isn't a Neuroi. This one is actually a UAV used by these evil mercenaries who were their second-biggest foe and were attempting to conquer their homelands of Brittania and Gallia. The mercenaries played small parts originally, but were a bigger threat later on. Although this boss was mistaken for a Neuroi at one point, it actually is much different. I made this one for the High-Speed Chase contest, and I think this one is one of my more unique creations, though not one of my harder ones. It doesn't use too much bullet spam, but it swiftly maneuvers around while massive structures from the Fuso Sea Station where it is fought at fly past, so you have to also avoid crashing into them. At some points there are easier ways to dodge it, but they also make you lose chances to attack it as well. Also I have a new player weapon for it, based on the one Joint Fighter, Erica Hartmann. Her normal fire is a spread shot that doesn't do that much damage usually, but has a wide range of fire, and when your energy is at max, hit Extra Button to unleash her Wind Blast that eliminates enemy shots in its path, does high damage, and pierces through foes, as well as can be slightly controlled by moving to the sides. This boss was fun to make and a bit unique for me. My favorite part is the way the parts on the engines spin around them and how I used Power Lasers for the boosters, it gave a neat effect.

I'm thinking the boss is decent, I consider you are way better in designing ships, than humanoid kind of bosses.

Not too much of attacks though, some repeat three times in a row.
Try balancing out the attacks with the amount of health of the boss and/or a secondary form.

Overall a good boss, in my short opinion, quite an improvement overtime has been made.

Well now, I just got a few more done, three done actually (well one I made long ago and is one of my earlier creations, but I forgot to repost it). These ones are all bosses from Battle Garegga, and they actually are pretty decent.

I think I replicated the bosses they are supposed to be almost exactly, don't you agree? I had a couple reasons behind making these ones. First of all, two of them I sorta started on a while back, but got sidetracked and kinda forgot about for quite a while now, but now I have finally found time to finish them. Second of all, I wanted to make something that would go really well with Zarro's Battle Garegga Fraxy interface, which I also used in the video. Third of all, Battle Garegga is a lot like Strike Witches and is one of the things that got me liking SW, so I thought I should finish them. Fourth of all, I thought they would go well with my previous Battle Bakraid remakes. Finally of all, I was also inspired by Eboshidori's Black Dream, which is basically Black Heart. And too many people have tried to remake Black Heart, but not many have attempted any of the others (though a lot of the other bosses don't look possible to do in Fraxy, minus the ones I did and Black Heart).
Well personally, I think Nose Lavagghin is meh, Madball is decent, but Glow Squid has to be the best one I made in this group, especially the way it moves around and attacks on the third phase, as well as the extending arms. They aren't some of my hardest bosses, but then again, Battle Garegga was an easy danmaku game for me, and it is no way as hard as other ones I've played such as Dodonpachi, Eden Aegis, Touhou, Hellsinker, Strania, Radiant Silvergun, Trouble Witches Neo, etc. I think they are really good remakes, don't you agree? Oh, and I gotta thank Zarro for that great Garegga interface too.

I don't usually like to double post, but I have another sweet boss done. It's my next Touhou recreation and this one is based on Yuyuko Saigyouji.

The Gluttonous Phantom

Here I did one for Yuyuko Saigyouji, and it is one of my better ones. I feel this one works and fights better than my last 3, Bucket Core, Suzuran Core, and The Chipper Fox. I always found Yuyuko to be one of the cutest and lovable in the series, for multiple reasons (especially the butterflies), and I like things about her such as the emblem on her hat the resembles the Sega Dreamcast Emblem, or how she loves to eat so much, especially Mystia and Youmu's Myon. This one duplicates her attacks almost perfectly, and is pretty much my hardest boss yet, though I have harder ones planned in the future. I also like what I did with the design, the effectors, regens, and stuff made her look all the more ghostly, though it chewed up a ton of the effect limit, and I had a hard time doing that without it having an effect on the attacks and projectiles. I also changed a few things, like the large ion rings she fires at times, I replaced with large Ion ring clusters shaped like butterflies, and instead of moving for her first attack, she vanishes and reappears. I think this one is just as good as Xeilumardrox's "Keeper of the Astral Inferno" if not better.
Plus it has a secret form called "Spectral Netherworld Monarch," which is unlocked at Rank 44. This one is a ghostly orb surrounded by those smaller ghosts that usually fly around Yuyuko. Both fight you really heavily in this one, but it is actually kinda short (though I meant it to be). Also good luck taking on the final attack, for I designed the final attack to be even harder than the final attack of Ebo's Yama, and for good reason. Watch out, for "her stomach growls with an awesome power, and its burning hunger tell her to consume you!"
